Uttarakhand ki Chardham Yatra

If you are planning to go for Uttarakhand ki Chardham Yatra. And know at the time of packing you are confuse what to carry and what to leave. So here are some of points which you can follow at the time of packing, also after visiting to Uttrakhand ki Chardham Yatra. Have safe and memorable journey.


 
List of Do and Dont’s in Uttrakhand ki ChardhamYatra

1.    Items needed to be carried are wind sheeters, raincoats, sleeping bags, blankets, water proof shoes with good grips, torch. Ladies are advised to avoid sarees. Instead body hugging clothing like Salwar Kamiz, pants, etc is advised.

2.    Please ensure that you are physically and mentally fit to perform the journey as the Yatra involves trekking at Yamunotri about 6-8 KM, at Kedarnath 14 KM (one way).

3.    Carry  Packaged food  biscuits, Chocolates, milk powder, assorted dry fruits, honey, lemons and tinned foods, Water bottle, spoons, tumblers, saucers and plates may also be carried. Throw rappers of here-there throw them in dustbin only. 

4.    Ponies carrying luggage and eatables should remain with you all the time. At no point of time should you get out of touch with them. This is to avoid inconvenience.
   
5.    Registered pony walla, porter, dandy man may only be hired. They are available for prefixed tariffs.

 6    Carry sufficient money to pay for your personal expenses.

 7    It is advisable to carry your own personal medical kit and First aid box.

 8    Move slowly and steadily, as this is an arduous pilgrimage and maintain discipline.  
      Instructions of Yatra officer should be adhered to.

 9.     Alcohol is strictly prohibited

10.   Don’t overstrain on steep gradients.

11.   Don’t relax at place where warning signs are fixed.

12.   Don’t break traffic discipline.

13.    Avoid carrying heavy Jewellery during journey.

14.    Don’t try to wash hands/ clothes/ bath in the rivers Enroute your Way.

15.     “Have a most memorable Char Dham Yatra.”

16.     If you go by your own car must  carry service book of vehicle and all India on road
          breakdown no.


17.     Hire only a registered ponywalla or porter. Don't walk far away from ponies
          carrying luggage. 


Chardham Yatra during rainy season (Monsoons):-


1.        Pack empty plastic bags to separate soiled and wet clothes from the rest.

2.        To prevent fungal and parasitic infections, keep feet clean and dry. Do not go               barefoot.

3.     Ensure that your luggage is waterproof.

4.     Always carry a raincoat and an umbrella during travel.


5.     If possible please ignore this (Monsoon) season. because of fear of land sliding.

Chardham Yatra By Helicopter

India is a “land of God and Goddess” around 33 crore devi devta, Chardham yatra has its own place within devotees . It is a believe that if one visited  CHAR DHAM once in life then the doorway to Moksh will open for him  (Moksh will make you free from the cycle of birth and death). You must carry woolen clothes too as the temperature is about 15 degree but touches zero in the winters.

Best time to visit Char Dham by helicopter is May-June and September-October. Remember  in monsoon season  (July-August) Helicopter services to Chardham are suspended.


Don’t forget to carry some woolen clothes, cap, shoes should not be slippery, umbrella or rain coat torch, some body and face lotion, First aid kit.
Also you cannot carry your luggage in helicopter put all your luggage at the place where you are staying.

Chardham Yatra Package

It the beautiful and when devote enters in the temple one comes much closer to god.

Kedarnath

Kedarnath is the hindu temple dedicated to lord “Shiva “also the lord shiva is worshiped as a kedarnath. Here Paandavas were supposed to pleased God Shiva. The gate of the temples opens at the end of April to Kartik Prnima somewhere in November. The temple is at the height of 3,583m which is 223km away from Rishikiesh as the temple is on such a height there is no directly accessible by road and has to reached by 14km uphill trek from Gaurikund. The temple is so beautifully built on front gate there is image of Parvathi and picture of five panda princess looks so beautiful. The night view of the temple is so beautiful.

Gangotri

Gangotri place where the holy river is at Gaurikund set in the Gangotri glaciers that can be accessed by the short 19km track. Gangotri is a place where river Ganga descended from heaven when lord Shiva released the river from his luscious locks.Gangoti temple stands at an altitude of 3,415m above sea level. Because of snow fall temple will open for 6 month somewhere from April to November. Some Places near Gangotri temple is Surya kund, Dharali, Gangnani, Harsil, Bhaironghati and Bhojbasa

Yamunatri

Yamunatri temple is essential pilgrimage of Hindu situated in the western region of Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 3,291m. The temple is built in 19 century by Maharani Gularia ofJaipur dedicated to the river Yamuna. The temple is dedicated to river Yamuna who is represented in the form of silver idol here the goddess Yamuna. The temple is 13km away from  Hanuman Chatti and  6 kilometers walk from Janki Chatti but Horses and ponies are available on rent Some other place near temple which you can visit is Hanuman chatti, Surya kund, Divya shila, Doors open for devote from Akshya Tritya and closed on the day of Diwali.
